About Against Separation
Defying separation and sensing the absent is the foundation of my practice. Since I left my native country, Spain, and specially after the loss of my father, I started to understand the physical absence of my loved ones as their premature death, and to create durational performance/installation works that, though confined my body, opened thresholds between the (me) here and the (they) there.
